On March 20th, Life Giving Community Church celebrated their 5th anniversary. It was a great day for a wonderful church. They recognized several people for their efforts to the kingdom building that goes on EVERY day there in Mckeesport.
It was totally humbling the way they recognized the Misfits for their efforts. During Pastor Frank’s interview of me in front of the church, he asked about my most special memory on a mission trip. There are so many, but I talked about the Misfits drilling a well in the Dominican Republic this year to bring fresh clean drinking water to a very poor community that has no city water. Their only source for water is to truck it in with rusty old water trucks.
That’s when Pastor Frank got up and presented me with a small well that he made by hand. Then he challenged the congregation to raise $700.00 to drill another well in another community bringing not only freshwater, but literally bringing Jesus as well. By the end of the service, there was already $120.00 in the well for our next well. Thank You so much to Frank, Melissa, and the whole church.
